These are all personal projects made using Adobe Photoshop. I manipulate the lighting, colors, positioning, contrast, and shadows of images and combine them with other images in order to create a realistic setting.
I translate the emotions that many fans, including myself, feel when an athlete pulls off an amazing play, and I edit the images by dramatizing certain aspects to reflect not only the player's personality but also the personality of their team.
Instead of only creating graphics for my personal favorite sports teams, I push myself to go outside of my comfort zone and experiment with designs for many different sports teams so that I can become as versatile as I can in my use of color palettes, imagery, and concepts.

Cooper Kupp Photo Manipulation
I positioned Cooper Kupp above a photo of Los Angeles mountains with clouds surrounding him to give the effect that he is a "godly" figure since he was the Super Bowl LVI MVP and also achieved a wide receiver triple crown (led the league in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in a single season).
In addition, I used Adobe After Effects to animate the composition and create elements of motion.

Israel Adesanya Stats Graphic
This graphic of Israel Adesanya, a middleweight contender in the UFC, highlights his impressive stats while in the UFC Octagon, which is why I added its chain link fence in the background. I manipulated the headshot photo of him by making his eyes glow Nigerian-green (his home country and the color of his shorts) to symbolize the fear felt by an opposing fighter during the ceremonial pre-fight staredown.

Jalen Hurts Photo Manipulation
This composition featuring Jalen Hurts reflects his leadership as he runs forward with the football, guiding a bald eagle behind him and sending it to strike down an opponent. Since forests all across the United States look drastically different, I used a photo of a forest in Pennsylvania, the state where the Philadelphia Eagles play, in order to connect the design even more to the team that inspired it.

Scottie Barnes Photo Manipulation
This photo manipulation features Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors. My goal with this image was to create the feeling that Scottie and his teammates, represented by menacing velociraptors, were plowing and stomping through the forest without hesitancy and destroying their competition in the process. I used lighting to create the illusion that Scottie, the velociraptors, and the "Raptor Xing" sign were all under dappled sunlight from the trees above.

LaMelo Ball Photo Manipulation
This graphic highlights LaMelo Ball's many accomplishments in his then-young career with the Charlotte Hornets. I warped type in the background and used it as a light source for the rest of the imagery. I added LaMelo's line of PUMA-brand shoes, MB.01, as well as the trophy he received for Rookie of the Year during the 2020-2021 season. Because that season was played during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was not a photoshoot of his trophy, so I used Ja Morant's trophy from the previous season and carefully covered the part of the trophy that displayed his name.

Justin Fields Photo Manipulation
The heavy rain I used in this graphic was based on the actual weather conditions of the Chicago Bears game the image of Justin Fields was taken from. There were heavy showers throughout the game, and I wanted to highlight the Bears' long culture and history of tough football, as well as quarterback Justin Fields's stellar performance in the victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

NBA 2021-22 Finals Photo Manipulation
This photo manipulation promotes the 2021-22 NBA Finals, held between the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors. I put each team's star player on one side of the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy, standing in front of a red curtain, signifying that the NBA Finals are theatrical and that the 'show' would be starting soon. I changed the perspective of the photo of the stage from two-point perspective to one-point perspective in order to match the perspective of the photo I used for the podium that holds the trophy.
